Coleus is an evergreen plant with a single trunk and spreading canopy. 
 
Plant Height: 15-25 inch
Plant Spread: 2-5 inch
Flowers: The flowers of the plant are not aesthetic and hence should be pinched.
 
The plant is kept at home or office for 2-3 years for decor purpose.
Quantity

  • Planting & Care

    It should be prunned at regular intervals according to shpae and size needed.

    Sunlight: Low light should be given The plant should be kept in shade. Bright or direct sunlight should be avoided, as it results in scalding and leaf-loss.
    Soil: Humus and nutrient rich soil and kept well-drained & porous.
    Water: Should be given accroding to the requirement. The moist soil clues a presence of good moisture and hence no watering is required.
    In summer the plant should be watered 3-4 times a week.
    While in winter, 1-2 times a week watering is required.
    Temperature: The plant cannot tolerte low temperature. The optimum temperature 17-23 deg C.
    Fertiliser: Slow nutrient releasing fertiliser pellets should be used given once a month.
     

  • Uses

    It can be used as a potted plant which gives some aethetic green-maroon look to your home or office. The green-maroon variegated leaves retian their color throughout the year.
